Laudio Launches Thought Leadership Webinar Series

Laudio, a Boston-based technology firm that introduced healthcare’s first staff relationship management platform, is pleased to announce the launch of its thought leadership webinar series. Held once a month, these informative online seminars will feature insights and perspectives from industry veterans, healthcare experts, and academic leaders.

“As a technology firm, we communicate the solution to the problem we solve,” said Tom De Santes, the director of marketing communications for Laudio. “But the thought leaders on our webinars help us establish the context for the problem that is compelling for both clinicians and hospital executives.”

Each event will be announced two weeks prior to the webinar and registration will be directed through the Laudio website. Every webinar will be recorded and be made available one week following the live event. There is no cost to attend. The following are the first six webinars are as follows:

  1. How AI Is Improving Staff Retention
    July 25, 2018 – Guest Speaker: Kristen Hagerman MS, RN, CEO of Connected Care Advisors
    Kristen Hagerman, an experienced nurse executive, uncovers the mysteries of AI and the innovative technology available to directly impact nurse turnover. With a focus on research into nurse engagement, understand how nurse managers can be more successful with data-driven insights for each nurse on their team. Who is at risk for leaving and why? Who needs extra support? Who deserves recognition?
  2. Is My Turnover an Issue?
    August 29, 2018 – Guest Speaker: Tom Hills, SVP Laudio
    Tom Hills and the research team at Laudio present the results of a recent research study that examined nurse attrition at 12 U.S. hospitals for a better understanding of national turnover trends. Diving deeper into the 17% national turnover rate, the discussion explores turnover variation by hospital setting, clinical specialty, generation, and tenure. Insights are designed to help nurse executives develop more informed retention strategies.
  3. Disruption or Distraction: Solving Staff Burnout
    September 26, 2018 – Guest Speaker: Ronald Riner, MD, President of The Riner Group
    Dr. Ronald Riner, a leading voice on healthcare transformation, provided five distinct recommendations for healthcare leaders to consider when they are evaluating innovation. Along with detailed discussion on each point, a theme he explored was that change for the sake of change can be too disruptive to an organization and can become a damaging distraction for the staff.
  4. Using Healthcare Transformation to Impact Staff Turnover
    October 30, 2018 – Guest Speaker: Cheryl B. Jones, PhD, RN, FAAN, Professor and Director, UNC
    Cheryl Jones, Professor and Director at the Hillman Scholars Program in Nursing Innovation, presents her research aimed at uncovering knowledge related to the organization and delivery of care, and the impacts on the costs, quality and safety of care. One of Cheryl’s most recognized contributions has been the development, testing, and refinement of a method to measure nurse turnover costs.
  5. Driving Continuous Improvement through Innovation
    November 15, 2018 – Guest Speaker: Mimi Ryan, MSN, RN, NE-BC, Magnet Program Director
    Mimi Ryan, a 25-year Magnet program director at a large academic health system, addresses the continuous need to innovate in healthcare specifically with a focus on workforce management and development. She provides her perspective on staff burnout and tangible solutions focused on increasing engagement between managers and their staff. She will explain how stronger engagement improves satisfaction which in turn reduces turnover.
  6. Healthcare Predictions for 2019
    December 18, 2018 – Guest Speaker: Kimberly Zeoli, Partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP
    Kim Zeoili has 20+ years of experience in the fields of public accounting and consulting, serving over 100 public and private companies the major of which are healthcare providers and biopharmaceutical manufacturers. In this event, Kim will preview the emerging trends and initiatives that Deloitte & Touche is predicting will dominate the healthcare landscape in 2019.
